The grappling hook is absolutely broken #207

This is an issue discussing the beta.

If you jump or move in any direction when the grappling hook attaches, the grapple will send you to that direction instead of to the grapple point. When jumping, this allows you to go far into the air. When jumping while running, you also get a horizontal speed boost.

All levels except Kopaka's can be broken with this; Onua: CLF2 (skips almost all grapple points) Gali: VLLG (skips HK01, MTOP, the Rau and the horn puzzle, by far the most impactful) HK01 (skips long grapple section) MTOP (skips having to kill hives for the Rau) Pohatu: BKIK (skips area) Lewa: LEP1 (skips grapple portion of area) Tahu: FVIL (skips grapple portion of area) Makuta: ONUA (skips area, if performed correctly allows you to complete it in under 30 seconds)
