Currently there is a limit in both builds for how many models can be rendered in an area at a time.
This is controlled in the OSI with the following code:
PushConstanti8 5 ; number of models that will be rendered CallGameFunctionString "gcmodeldirector", "setnearestmax", 1 Pop
Unless there's something related to the model rendering limits still floating around, I don't see a reason for this issue to be open any longer. Closed
