I updated so many mods that I just have no idea what caused it.
Hey EmosewaPixel, I can confirm this. When loading in, texture pack is replaced with default, but if you switch it out and back in again it works.... to some degree. I am finding now my fluix cables have all invisible textures. They are there and if you hover over it you see the black outline and it will allow you to break it and replace it. The weird thing is, it shows the start of the cable and the end of the cable but nothing in between. If I revert the pack to standard (horrid looking) minecraft textures then everything is normal.
I can confirm the same issue.
ETA?
And I wanted to Thank you... after reading Wacko's comment, I tried it and it worked. But before that I had been searching around attempting to find a fix, and while I was, I ran into BD Craft's resource pack. WOW!.. I was using Soartex but now it is BDCraft w/optifine item resource pack, LOOKS GREAT.
BTW.. any thoughts on including Optifine in the modpack? I had to work through a number of optifine releases to get one that works with all these mods (Its is D3 in case anyone wants to know).. but a tested and implemented one with your mod pack would rock.
Loving the Mod pack (Even tho you Torture me with these BEES). Keep up the good work. Peace
good to know it isn't just me with the issue.
@Bogreaper, I have done a modpack or two myself on Curse/Twitch client. While I was, I thought about adding in optifine as you suggested for this one. However, unless something is changed, that isn't possible because Optifine isn't a Curse "supported" mod.
They will actually decline a pack with an unsupported mod unless express permission is asked for in a very particular way. Even then, with Optifine breaking packs as often as it does, I doubt it would ever get approved. Although, I never did try.
Either way, it is much easier to avoid the unsupported mods.
Ahhh ok, understood.
Btw.. I play a lot of different mod packs from FTB.. and what I have found with optifine is, I will look at the release date of the modpack I am playing, and then go check optifine's download page and find a version that was released just prior to the modpack's update and it works 95% of the time. The other 5% of the time It's a setting I did that fubared everything and I will just delete or manually edit the optionsof file.
peace
After about an hour of narrowing down which mod is causing the issue and I found out it was version 227 of Chance Cubes. Updating Chance Cubes to version 236 (the latest version as of now) fixes the issue.
Description of the latest version referring to the bug; "Fixed a bug conflicting with Resource Loader and custom sounds"
I can confirm that updating Chance Cubes to 236 fixed this issue for me.
I was having this issue too and decided to google into it, found this thread and followed the last posts suggestion.

Can confirm updating fixed it though I am running Chance Cubes 237
Server Files: 3.4.2 Clients updated to the same server properties, the world, ops.txt, serverstart.bat were saved while the rest was removed for the update. downloaded and extracted server files into existing folder. ran the server and clients
Upon fully loading the game, the resource packs are already "selected" using the in game menu (also verified in the options.txt) but none of the textures show. it is as if no resource packs are being used. However the world was there with all its untextured glory.
I was going to do some more testing, but when I attempted to log in with my friends account, his info was completely wiped. as if he had just logged in the game for the first time. Once I saw this, I decided to just downgrade since he will be home soon and we wanted to get some work done.
No idea if it is something I did or something with a the pack or a mod. However, I do think it a situation that should be known, so here ya go.
(I can try some more testing at a later time if it will help, just lemme know what)
