Mon Jun 18, 2012 04:45 PM A SOLUTION FOR MFGG'S WOES by Oracular:

To counteract the Absolutely Ridiculous Anger from the members of MFGG (often erroneously referred to as MINUS WORLD), I have came up with a Solution to the Problem;;;

The new rules that I suggest are to have each member assigned a team and a class. You can either be on team RED or team BLUE. Each team has their own board exclusive to their own group, and has access to a General Chat board which both RED and BLUE have access to. The other boards like Video Games and Arts remain as they are now.

You can pick between three classes, which you must stick with until the next round starts, at which point the teams are auto-balanced.

Class 1: HEAVY

Image

+ Is allowed to spam post

  • When a Heavy is successfully trolled, he can eat sandwhich once per round to gain an extra life

- Is only allowed to post after he has been online for at least 1 hour

CLASS 2: SPY

Image

+ Actually, the Spy has access to the other team's board!

  • If he trolls someone, the person who got trolled is banned automatically.

- If someone thinks that you are Spy, you get banned

CLASS 3: MENDIC

Image

+ The medic can heal a Heavy by making a quality post

- can't troll

GENERAL RULES:

You cannot get banned for trolling, you only get banned if you are trolled
When you are banned for being trolled, you get unbanned on the first day of the next month
No Porn or Illegal @!$%

I think these rules will balance out the current metagame, because people who don't want to be trolled can just stay on one side, and the other people stay on the other side. A suggestion for teams would be:

BLUE:

Sonic Project

RED:

Everyone Else

Thanks for listening.

You should host another forum game, I miss those.

Also, just so that I'm on topic, I disagree with this suggestion. The rules are too vague and it would be too much work to implement, at the moment. It's also unfair to single out one member to be on the opposing team, at least without giving them enough power/ability to compensate.

EDIT: although I like that you at least made it technically feasible by taking into account our porn/illegal stuff rules.

the last part was a joke, the teams would be balanced out evenly. if a team ends up with better trolls, then players with the highest scores on average are averaged out between the teams for the next round. there is lee-way for players that want to stay on the same team as other players.

I'd love an actual built-in forum metagame, but I wouldn't want it to revolve around trolling. For that reason, I'm out.

Oracular Orion now only has ~30 dragons left to impress if he wants his plan funded. Remember, he has to get at least half of the votes, otherwise he'll walk home empty handed.

the current metagame revolves around trolling anyway

I'd not really be comfortable sponsoring that, though.

Calling me out every time you post in the suggestion board isn't amusing.

I don't approve of this suggestion.

we could re-do zombie week only with Circlejerk 1 and Circlejerk 2 as the Zombie/Survivor teams

You know there's some website with a pretty heavy focus on forum and IRC games.

I don't remember the name of it though...

Although some kind of forum meta game would certainly spice up the old minus world
