This of course would only be acceptable if the page didn't refresh (the page doesn't refresh on 4chan either.) Also, is there a way to make the quote tag omit embeds? (Obviously wouldn't be necessary with above suggestion, unless above suggestion was made into an alternate tag.)

Oh yeah I almost forgot about how the various 4chan extensions handle embeds, I like it a lot myself. If we could do that it'd be great.

pretty great suggestion overall, I'd just be worried that you (Puddin) wouldn't be able to do embeds like the xfiles theme

I recommend that it be used as a separate bbcode tag, so that you can use it for specific situations such as threads with a lot of videos in them without making it impossible to embed videos otherwise.

eh, aside from goofy autoembeds i don't see much of a reason to have video tags the current way. but then again im the type of person to disable images (though phpBB's method wrecks hyperlinked images so I don't)
