Right now it just says "User Banned", but this presents a problem. I was lead to believe that T-man was permanently banned, since that's sort of what "User Banned" implies.

Also, having a thread that serves as a "ban list" seems really archaic. These things should be built into the forum software whenever possible. I think it would be ideal to include the ban length as well as a link to a public warn log.

Come to think of it, do we even have public warn logs? I'm pretty sure we don't. I think the warning system here is sort of broken, in that a warning has absolutely no significance whatsoever. Maybe if warns and bans were made public, we would all have an easier time being on the same page.

It would be nice to have all that built in and a duration could be useful so people know what's going on with a suer.

As far a public warn logs, I don't really think we should have that. I could see a lot of users using a member's warns against them or people treating them as points of shame. It's not very conducive to helping people be better members IMO.

history of bans

ban length is based on your prior ban lengths

I hope so, because I can debunk most of the Board Warnings I've received.
