Seems to be an error with the way that emails are handled. Any other combination of stuff appears to work fine, but specifically emails break the Skype field due to the application shortcut being messed up. I've altered his Skype address in his profile to not break it anymore, I don't think you can even have an email-based Skype username anyways.

@ symbols don't break them, it's just emails. I tried a number of things from @s and .s but only a combination of the two will break it. I also don't know if it's possible to implement rejection like that.

As posted earlier I gave a couple of things a test and it's just emails, though including the full http:// beforehand will bust it.
