I have corectl start on boot. Since my last boot, I have done nothing with it -- I haven't started any nodes or anything. It's just running in my menubar. It is also the largest consumer of power over the last 8 hours. It's "Average Energy Impact" is 31.99 which is almost 3X what Google Chrome (with plugins) is measured at.
