Frontend: learn enough about Stimulus to use 'Slim Select' for the multi-select #4529

This should be very doable and hopefully not too difficult - I think I used a Stimulus wrapper around Slim Select for this kind of thing in the past (https://github.com/brianvoe/slim-select?tab=readme-ov-file).
