Thanks @BlizZard-bot
I have mostly done a quick and dirty transfer of the more current faq.
Great call to update the wording and I will get to this asap, plus I will also look at the separate faq content more.
One goal of this document was to have a place for all the messages that the faq links to, because these meaningful messages are scattered throughout Discord and could be accidentally deleted. I do not think we should delete these messages, without have a better place to put them.
We could put them in the the blog wiki, which was an attempt to put some of these meaningful posts in one centralized spot. And because on mobile Discord links do not always work correctly, so links in the FAQ may not always work as we intend. https://github.com/TheOdinProject/blog/wiki
Update: Actually almost of the "big" ones were already copied over to the blog wiki! I copied over one that seemed incomplete, but would be worth having a second set of eyes on this before deleting.
Could someone provide some guidance/clarity on what should happen with this PR? I know the FAQ has been mostly updated on discord but not in this repo yet.
I changed the entire file to more closely resemble the latest version that is currently on Discord and updated some of the contents. After approval the
#faq
channel on Discord can also be updated. Since this seems to be done with Thor, someone with the right privileges should do that.TO-DO
