How did you install system.dat? You should do that with VitaShell where you open the the savedata folder using "Open decrypted".
Thanks TheFloW, I went off on a tangent there as I sometimes got errors but it's now working :)
Glad you got it working. What was the issue?
Not sure, when opening the decrypted savedata folder it sometimes errors when trying to paste the new system.dat file in.
Hello and thanks for this exploit. I have a project where I would like to add some options to the bootstrap menu, this is to try and load different config.txt files so I don't need to manually swap between the plugins for docking my Vita to the TV and normal handheld mode. My Vita is the OLED model and it's on 3.70, I'm not looking to downgrade as the major apps I use all work fine.
From what I can see the key file to build is system.dat which I've done using MinGW32 on Windows 10. Initially I've made no changes, expecting the system.dat file size to be the same as the released one but it isn't. I've used built henkaku and taihen files and ones I have on my Vita but the resulting system.dat files are smaller than the released one. So I replace system.dat with my one in the savedata folder and follow the steps so it's installed on my Vita, but when launching it gives the error with the option to report the problem or press ok. I confirmed that when using the released system.dat file it does work so the problem is with my built version.
Please can I have some advice, maybe some build instructions if there's something I'm missing?
