ST ability to send grimoire to player

As the storyteller, I'd love to be able to send a screenshot of the grim to a spy/widow entirely within the app. Minimally, it would be helpful to be able to send a picture as an attachment to the player within the app (even if "send grim" isn't an explicit option), so that the spy/widow doesn't have to leave the app as part of their role.

Hey Eli,

this is already possible! During the night phase, the ST has a menu entry for each player called "Wake player", which opens a window like this: As you can see, in the center of the "Signal" interface, there's a "Show Grimoire" feature, which is only there for Spy and Widow characters. That option allows you to share a copy of the grimoire with that player during the night.

Thank you! I had been nervous to put a spy in the game because I didn't see the ability, so I didn't realize it was there. I think this is a great app, and I would find it super helpful to watch a walkthrough video or read detailed online documentation about it, to understand the ins and outs (although I totally get that it's under development). Right now, when I search for resources, most of what comes up is for the previous free version. Has TPI released any documentation for the app?

Unfortunately, we don't have any kind of written app documentation available yet. This is something we want to get ready for the eventual release of the app, when there are fewer big interface / feature changes planned. Currently, there are a bunch of fan-created videos for using the app (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPzMQagbGjA and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFa8iXk-sZo) and Ben is working on some feature showcase videos for the Patreon campaign. I have no idea when they will be ready though, but I'll prod him about maybe posting an update on these. :-)
