Crash on loading. #637

Hello,

While I am pumped to platy this mod, as it looks to have that mix of original fantasy and CK3 that I have been craving, this game has been crashing on both my steam deck and my pc at startup! I can give you a copy of my crash report upon request. I know that this is a passion project so please take your time in getting to me.

Are you using any other mods? Even the most minor enhancement mods can potentially cause crashes when combined with total conversion mods. If not, we'd very much like to see your crash report+error logs. Also, which version of Godherja and CK3 are you using?

The workshop version and the recent version of CK3. I don't think I have any other mods in the playset [Uploading ck3_20231229_182345.zip…]()

Your zip files don't seem to have been uploaded correctly - "Uploading ck3_20231229_182345.zip…" just seems to link to this issue.

Hmm, okay, this error log is pretty strange - its seems to be trying (and failing) to read an extremely large of vanilla modifiers/innovations/other references. What operating system are you using? Trying to see if there's any commonalities between people who are getting this crash. Edit: Oh, and thanks for uploading the logs!

I've been testing it on my windows laptop and steam deck, so it's between both Linux and Windows as well. Do you think removing all the mods will help?

If you're not running the other mods alongside Godherja, I don't think uninstalling them will fix the crashing - that said, since I've got no clue what's causing the crash, I can't rule it out. The following methods have worked for others in the past to get rid of crashes, though: 1) Verifying your CK3 files and reinstalling GH (i.e. unsubscribing, waiting for the mod to uninstall, and then resubscribing). 2) If the above doesn't work, uninstall GH and CK3, then reinstall both. 3) If the above doesn't work, uninstall GH and CK3, delete non-save game files from your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings III file, then reinstall both. Also, since your crashing might not be caused by a mod code error, you might also be able to get some help by asking in the discord.
