12.0.742.112 makes Proxy Switchy! doesn't work in Auto Switch mode #352

Chrome Version : 12.0.742.112
OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2)

I'm in China. facebook is blocked by great fire wall(gfw). I use Proxy Switchy!
and freegate to bypass gfw.

Bypassing gfw is a must!!

I'm using Chrome for years. Before updating to 12.0.742.112, say yesterday,
Proxy Switchy! worked very well. Today it updated to 12.0.742.112, Auto Switch
mode of Proxy Switchy! doesn't work any more!

If I try to visit facebook in auto switch mode, Chrome tells me "connection
times out" and the icon of Proxy Switchy! indicates it really does use
freegate. If I choose "always use freegate", then visiting facebook is ok. It
indicates freegate works.

I downloaded Firefox5, installed autoproxy, and after setting, I'm happy that
it works for facebook and other blocked websites.

Hopefully, I had a previous version of Chrome(10.0.648.127). Using
10.0.648.127, Proxy Switchy! with Auto Switch mode works again.

Have you changed any interfaces of network? I hope you can fix it as soon as
posible, while Proxy Switchy! hasn't updated for nearly a year.

UserAgentString: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US)
AppleWebKit/534.16 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/10.0.648.127 Safari/534.16

Re-installing the extension seems to have fixed the issue for me.
Hope this helps someone else too!

I have the same issue after upgrade to 12.0.742.112. MacOS X 10.6.8
I reinstalled the stable version (1.7.0) and the most recent trunk(r104) from
source, Both of them not works.
Settings always return to some state.

In my corporation environment, Internet and intranet have different proxies.
The only way I can do is changing back to Firefox now.

I'm having I think the same issue with Chrome 12.0.742.112 on MacOS X 10.5.8
(Intel). When I try to change the mode to Auto Switch it changes for a few
seconds, then reverts to the mode it was in before. I also will have to go
back to Firefox if this can't be fixed.

check out Issue 338

http://code.google.com/p/switchy/issues/detail?id=338

the dll mentioned near the end fixed it for me on 12.0.742.112 and it still
works after upgrading to 12.0.742.122
