Add head fragments for structure templates to be included in html head tag.

Is there any way to add some content to the HEAD from structure
template (when the HEAD tag is defined in main template).
I mean something similar to the way plugins use $head1 .. $head10
variables. Can I somehow define similar variables in my structure template and 
then access it in main page template?
The idea is to include some css specific to current structure
template. I know I could add this to main template or to specific
page, but I would like to have this css files included automatically
whenever this template is used.
