As specified in Issue #69. This involves removing code and tests that have been moved to the new revision Gem, and cleanup to bring dependencies (of this Gem) up to current; see Issue #60.

Actually, Commit 2855690 satisfies the requirements laid out in both Issue #69 (with the accompanying spec and Issue #60. We are therefore going to merge this branch as it stands, close those two issues, and release 0.14.0, unless otherwise directed.
