More Chess Board Layouts #22

We need more Chess Board Layouts in addition to the RightOrientedLayout.
It would be nice to have perhaps a winboard style layout, and a thief style 
layout.

If you are interested in working on this please let someone on the team know.

Consider this complaint.  Way too much wasted space with the right-oriented 
layout for me.  Would love one of the other kinds of layouts.  Is programming 
necessary for this or is there a data file that can be edited by me to work on 
this?  I'd be happy to tinker for awhile to see what I can do in the latter's 
case.

There is some programming required, but its really not that bad. I could 
probably walk you through how to do it. Its really just some math and figuring 
out the absolute position for everything given the width/height of the 
rectangle available.
