@maxspam : What is your device?
I believe this is related to issue #3 .
Yes, maybe it’s related to #3. But I wanted to point out the differences:
Hardware is FairPhone (don’t know what’s under the hood, I think some HUAWEI)
Can someone repoduce the effect? And/Or confirm that it has to do with CBR/VBR?
I have the same issue, also on a fairphone. Not sure how to check whether it is CBR/VBR. I know it does happen with: http://twit.tv/show/floss-weekly/281
I must say podax also gave me weird issues on the Fairphone, so it might be a Fairphone specific bug.
It is probably related to this bug: https://fairphone.zendesk.com/hc/communities/public/questions/200735703-Internal-audio-player-issue?locale=en-us
I have a problem with some of my podcasts. I use Android 4.2 and AntennaPod 0.9.8.0 with Prestissimo 1.0.
Some podcasts are playing well, no problem with neither 1× nor 1.4× speed. But some other are just running at very high playback speed, no mather if I choose 1× or 1.4× (it sounds like 5× or 10×). As soon as I deinstall Prestissimo from my device, all podcasts run at 1× without problems.
I downloaded some of the files to my computer, imported them into iTunes and had a look at the properties (see attached screenshot, green means: works with AntennaPod/Prestissimo in different speeds, red means: only works when Prestissimo is deinstalled). Maybe that is an CBR/VBR issue?
