Hi Joel,

I did some research on the issue of this "ghost" account spamming malicious stuff and it turns out that they are abusing an exploit in Google Analytics to send these Spam stuff.

Check out this Github repository about how to stop this and let me know if this might help you.

ghost is the placeholder name for banned accounts, it's not a person. might be good to check out tho

This is correct.
Ghost is the default account that is applied to deleted accounts.
"Ghost" isn't who's posting those thing. An actual account, like "JohnFuckBoi2286", is creating the posts.
The account gets flagged as a spam account, gets deleted, and all that remains is "Ghost posted this message..."

If you're seeing a post by ghost, the account is already gone.

@OP - I find it interesting you did all this research but didn't manage to figure out Ghost isn't an actual account. :-/

I honestly didn't. I'm new to GitHub. Before you responded, I learned about a ghost account from GitHub support after reporting the issue of bot spamming the issues section.
