@SpadesNeil Why are we removing Science? I was hoping to have people conduct experiments or "Volunteer Program" for the Prisoners to partake in zany shit. Sometimes fatal sometimes oh god why levels.
The problem is, the way science works, it doesn't really support that. Medical however does. Medbay has virology for instance. Medical scientist might be a better route to go.
Science right now as SS13 code is consists of Xenoarcheology, Robotics, Toxins (bomb making), Xenobiology, and Research. The only one on this list that can sort of fill the thing you want is Xenobio. Everything else doesn't really fit well. There's no live testing capability.
That being said I plan on having an abandoned xenobio lab, and the capacity to do xenoarcheology with some stolen tools.
Though, if we can change science roles or make new science roles to encourage human experiments, that works too.
Brief description of the issue
Minerals obtained via mining need to go toward manufacturing. Manufacturing will mostly replace the Science department. However, we need to discuss what exactly gets made in manufacturing by the inmates. Preferably with some kind of conveyor belt system.
I'm thinking pointless things but ideally things that could also be used for malicious goals other than their intended purpose.
Manufacturing should be randomized per shift.
