Syllabus Proposal: TSOBTC DAES for NYC Learners
Prompt: NY Mayor Wants Crypto Education in Schools Challenge: Who will coordinate the effort to develop and implement this for NYC? Who will pay for it? Approach: TSOB uses GitHub, Bitcoin Lightning, Semplice, and Stacks so learners can develop their own crypto curriculums and collaborate to develop open source projects that transform the city. Opportunity: TSOB can position itself to help roll out a DAES to cities that adopt CityCoin. This will be a way to show that versatility that can come with a decentralized education system.
This Syllabus Proposal serves two purposes: (1) demonstrate how learners can propose their own curriculums for TSOB DAES and (2) act as a proposal for how TSOB can implement a DAES for NYC (Will also recreate this for Miami to show different adaptations)
When a Syllabus Proposal gets approved, TSOB will integrate aspects of them into its official curriculum on Stacks.
How about teachers? Teachers can still grade students on different aspects as they always do, but now they'll be grading kids based on their execution of preparing and presenting ideas that they actually care about. STEM centered around a persons creative interests and centered around whatever subculture resonates with them most.
