Cleanup Branches #13

I have to cleanup master/next since there has been some wrongly targeted merges and I didn't pay attention. Master should be the only branch, next should go away and all releases should properly receive tags.

Removed the obsolete next branch, introduced proper release tagging. That should get rid of the confusing merge targets for contributors (and me!).

If you want a stable release, make sure to checkout a tag first before uploading to your chef server.
