What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start Pidgin, connect using GMail account.
2. Launch GTalkSMS, push Start button, the circle turns green.
3. Pidgin shows Xperia is online.
4. Open chat, send "?" command to Xperia.

What is the expected output?
Get back short help

What do you see instead?
No reaction

Additional informations:
It used to work for a number of days, then stopped without any intervention.
The only feedback from GTalkSSMS is status in Pidgin - online or offline,
showing correctly (it sometimes goes offline without reason but that is a
separate issue, we'll deal with that after I get communication working again).
GTalkSMS shows the notification contact as offline even though it's online.

1 - I see that you are using a jabber account for your phone. Can you try using
a jabber account for your desktop client too ? (by creating a new account maybe)
2 - Do you receive notification (SMS, call) ?
3 - Do you receive clipboard content when you click on the GTalkSMS clipboard
button ?
4 - Do you see the phone battery status in your client ?

Sorry if you already have answered to these questions, but this will help us to
gather all information in one point.

All problems were gone when I switched to a jabber account on desktop.

Here is a detailed report.

Background:
Every kind of notification is turned on in GTalkSMS preferences.
Both Pidgin and GTalkSMS are signed in to their accounts.

Case A - using GMail account on desktop
=======================================
Pidgin: Phone buddy is shown offline until I stop and start GTalkSMS again
(using Start/Stop button in GTalkSMS)
GTalkSMS: Notification contact is shown offline
SMS, call notifications - don't receive.
Send Clipboard - don't receive.
Battery Status - don't see.

Case B - using a jabber account on desktop (new, not same as phone's jabber
account)
================================================================================
====
Pidgin: Phone buddy is shown online
GTalkSMS: Notification contact is shown online. Status updates (from Away to
Available) instantly.
SMS, call notifications - receive.
Send Clipboard - receive.
Battery Status - receive.

Nice!
But it's still weird maybe it's a authorization issue between your 2 accounts.
Can you try to remove jabber account in your gtalk account and the other way.
Then re add them.

I actually prefer it this way - having two jabber accounts, rather than having
to type in my GMail password. It's working better than it ever did with
jabber+GTalk. Less going offline for no reason.
