Better enclosure screws #229

Closed elsalahy closed 2 years ago

elsalahy commented 2 years ago

Summary:

Can we investigate if the enclosure screws material can be changed to something that is more durable. The current enclosure screws can't handle the screw driver pressure and tend to have edge deformity if screwed and unscrewed multiple times.

So who supplies the screws. Is it SEEED or Bopla?

DefProc commented 2 years ago

Could this be confusion between Phillips and Posidriv screw heads? The enclosure screws on my sensors require a PH1 head (Phillips size 1). If they are tightened using a Posidriv head it will work but this can deform the screw head.

@azerimaker did you test out the durability of the screws?

@NicolasMrad current screws are the default ones supplied by the manufacturer and after various mechanical torture testing they seem to hold OK. I don't see a reason to upgrade them right now.
