I want help troubleshooting and fixing my gateway.
What steps did you take? (Give as many details as possible so that we can reproduce it)
Moved ttn gw to its new, better, permanent location after running it at home for a while. Now running on wifi as opposed to ethernet previously. Tested with several antennas, no change.
What went wrong? What is missing?
Range dropped significantly, now only a couple hundred metres, when it was previously several kms. In its new location it should achieve much longer range.
I can add that it also dies randomly and needs a power cycle – according to @rish-c this is a known issue and I'm considering a suggested fix (updating firmware manually using SD card). Both a little complicated as it's on a rooftop.
What firmware is running on your gateway?

What do the logs show?
It connects to TTN fine, but receives very few packets.
