[BUG] Motion Wake-Up stopped working #110

Hi. I´m using a A8 tablet with Wallpanel to display Home Assistant. Been running for about a year but suddenly about a month ago the wakeup stopped to work. So now I have to tap the screen to wake it up. Settings are checked and it´s the same as before. Camera tested and it sees both motion and faces. App has right to use camera. So i cannot find the problem. Any suggestions?

Same. Samsung A8 Tablet.

Wallpanel can activate on motion if the tablet has just gone to screensaver (displaying clock), but once the screen turns off/goes black it does not wake up again (untill screen is touched).

The fully kiosk app works and wakes up on camera motion, but not wallpanel.

Same here too (Lenovo K10) , seems to work fine on motion for a while then stops turning on - will work again after double tapping the screen to wake, then after a day or so it'll stop working again. Seems like the app gets put to sleep after a certain period of being idle and can't monitor for motion until the screen has been woken up and it's 'interacted' with again.

Would be great to get this fixed as it's the only issue I have with the app, everything else is running great - are there any logs or anything we could collect?

It worked fine for me about one year. Then suddenly it stopped working, must have been in some kind of update.

Same Problem for me on Galaxy Tab A8 (without updated Android and Last Update)

Same on my galaxy tab a7 with lineageos android 14. After a few days the green dot, indicating the camera is active, goes away. Going into settings and turning motion off-on and then camera test gets it going again
