Window not resizable #334

Closed RafaelLinux closed 2 months ago

RafaelLinux commented 3 months ago

I have a 4K monitor, use Wayland and have the resolution scaled to 120%. I don't usually have problems with this configuration, but I do have problems with CPU-X, which shows overlapping information. However, CPU-X doesn't allow me to resize its window in any way. The cursor pointer doesn't even change appearance when placed on the sides or corners of the CPU-X window and even if you try, you can't click and drag from them.

Here you can see overlapped info (horizontal scrollbar doesn't solve issue) image

IMHO the bar graph seems confuse, difficult to read. I saw same bars in only one bar graph, and it's clearer than a unique bar. image

CPU-X: 5.0.4 installed from main openSUSE repository
Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20240809
KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.4.0
Qt Version: 6.7.2
Kernel Version: 6.10.3-1-default (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland

Could you run LC_ALL=C cpu-x --tab=5 from command line and provide a new screenshot, please? I would like to understand why items are misaligned.

Please refer to #281.

This feature appeared in v2.0.0 and was improved in v2.1.0: It did not change that much since then. I do not plan to change it, sorry: I like the way it looks like, and I am a really bad UX designer anyway.

It's OK. Everyone has their own tastes and I, for example, find a stacked bar chart, vertical or horizontal, that in real time shows the percentage of the total that corresponds, less confusing. I will continue to improve the ones shown by Plasma. It used to be perfect, but now it's up to the users to configure what they want ;) imagen

Very long strings like Navi 33 [Radeon RX 7600/7600 XT/7600M XT/7600S/7700S / PRO W7600] are causing an issue in GtkComboBoxText, hence all misaligned labels. 2ee65addef4371c36c95f7f496a43c4272d19514 fixes this issue: image

Perfect.

Thank you for sorting it out so quickly.
