GBS does not work in Firefox 3 #1

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. install F3
2. install GBS after having hacked F3 to allow incompatible extensions
3. try and run a sync : no joy !

yeah that is to be expected cause the old bookmarking api was replaced by the
'places' api, (which also supports stuff like tags now that were previously 
unsupported.

looks Like Mozillla's Weave is the way to go.
0.2 just got released.
