- This can happen with some subtitle formats and turning on the option to burn subtitles might fix this.
- This can also happen if you are trying to use GPU acceleration inside a jail. You can get this to work but it is rarely worth the effort in FreeBSD.
- Finally, this could actually be an non-supported format. You can try seeing if an updated version of FFmpeg is available. It looks like the newest version on the
latestpkg mirror is4.4.3,1. https://www.freshports.org/multimedia/ffmpeg/
I assume you have FFmpeg installed. The error is more "VideoCodecNotSupported" than "FFmpeg not installed"
