dotnet 8 has been ported to FreeBSD thanks to a lot of hard work by its maintainer:

Any plans to remove the binaries from this project and use dotnet instead?

It should be in ports git+https right now. It will take about 1wk for it to land on pkg mirrors https://github.com/freebsd/freebsd-ports/tree/main/multimedia/jellyfin/
