New Insight: How often does the user post something NSFW? #2009

One-liner

How often does the user post something NSFW?

Full explainer

How many times has the user explicitly posted "NSFW" or posted a link to something with NSFW in the title. Like most things NSFW, this insight should be fun and light.

Audience for the insight

This insight could work on Twitter and Facebook, possibly (but less likely) Instagram. It serves users with more activity.

How often this insight runs

My guess is that NSFW counts are pretty low, so yearly makes more sense (and would be more fun).

If, down the road, we start having editorial themes (e.g., a day each month where we focus on the user going blue — swearing, using the service after midnight, etc) it might make sense to start including this insight monthly. Until then, though, annually makes more sense to me.

Headline

if %total is 0:

else:

if 0:

if baseline:

This insight searches for "nsfw" (case-insensitive) for all of the user's posts for the year. In addition, if possible, search the title of any links shared for "nsfw".

Since it's annual, may as well also set a baseline after the first run and give an update on nsfw count year-over-year.

Included elements

Could be nice to include an image. Here are a few CC-friendly images of shock:

@cdmoyer, what are the dimension requirements for images?

cdmoyer commented 10 years ago

@capndesign (I know, I keep pinging you with the hero image dimensions question... what dimensions for those?) ;)

When should we run it yearly? On a specific date?

adampash commented 10 years ago

Working on a better solution for keep track of all of this on a calendar. Will update when I have more specifics.

adampash commented 10 years ago

@cdmoyer Okay, right now have set for annually on 8/23 (Twitter), 8/24 (Fb).
