I had the same problem but when I downgraded to 0.1.4 (the previous 1.18.2 version) it is working and on servers as well.

Are you sure that forgematica version-0.1.4-mc1.18.2 supports client-side capability? I just tested it, it does not let me into the server, this problem was solved in the Forgematica version-0.1.5-mc1.18.2, but the menu does not work in this version ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I am playing on a modded server so I'm guessing that has something to do with it, but the server does not have the mod installed. I'm using forge 40.2.4 if it helps

yes, i guess apparently the forge version affects this, I now have version 40.2.9.

I think it's better to wait for the fix by creator of this port, because a lot of players are already sitting on the new version of forge

This is because malilib's key binding uses its own method, but this also seems to make it impossible to use shortcuts when switching input methods. (https://github.com/maruohon/litematica/issues/110)
