Project2DFX is a set of plugins for GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas, GTA IV: The Complete Edition, GTA Liberty City Stories and GTA Vice City Stories, which adds LOD corona effect to a game map, making LOD-world look a lot better.
This setting always seems to make the game crash when starting a new game or playing from a previous save, going into the Start New Game Menu from the pause menu and then starting New Game. I tried moving the plugins to a different folder (e.g. mss, scripts, root directory where the executable is), putting it into Mod Loader, turning down the number of lights being rendered as low as possible, but RenderLodLights = 1 in VCLodLights.ini always makes the game crash when starting a new game after the initial play session from the pause menu. I am reluctant on turning this feature off or removing all the VCLodLights plugin files entirely because it can look nice while looking at the environments from a distance and while flying, but this one annoying problem ruins using this plugin for Project2DFX.
