Need For Speed Underground Skip Intro option dose not skip FMVs #1094

Title says it all everything else seems to work but FMVs still play at startup despite setting Skipintro = 1.

Need For Speed Most wanted 2005 the option works fine. Probably just a small oversite.

There was a recent update with changes including files connected to skipping the Intro (nointro.mad) identifiable by name. However, the EA games, THX and the warning all still play. Is there not a way to just skip to title screen like on Need for Speed Underground 2?

NA_Boot has jogged my memory. I remember downloading the 1.4 NA patch for the game and it didn't install. I then found the 1.4 EU patch and that installed with no error. I think the copy I got from Amazon is the EU ver. So the full skip will only work for the NA version? I'm guessing na_boot includes the ea screen, thx and warning screens..any chance of supporting the EU ver?

I don't know, you tell me whether or not files are named differently there.

I just checked all 3 files are named the same. When the skip in the widescreen fix didn't fully work, I tried the manual method of replacing the 3 files with the dummy files I found on PCgamming wiki, and it still didn't work.

Is your patch intended to skip directly to the start screen like in UG2? I see the THX_logo.mad file and that isn't one of the 3 files listed that's part of your skip.

Also, since your here is there something special I need to do first to get 120 fps cap in Underground 2? The frame cap is set to 120 fps in the file on my 144hz screen and it's just locked to 60 hz/fps according to MSI afterburner and fraps. Its dose (I think) feel smoother then 60 hz but that could be in my head so maybe a reporting error?

I see the THX_logo.mad file and that isn't one of the 3 files listed that's part of your skip.

Try this version I guess: NFSUnderground.WidescreenFix.zip

Also, since your here is there something special I need to do first to get 120 fps cap in Underground 2?

That "fix" only skipped the TXH logo, the EA screen and written warning still play can you not skip everything and just jump to the start screen...?

Great work on the core widescreen and controller fixes for Underground 1 and 2, most wanted 2005, carbon and prostreet tho. too bad you didn't do one for hot pursuit 2

It's alright I've learned that there was a patch for underground 2 that has capped the fps to 60 for stability reasons so it doesn't matter anymore.
