Everything in this plugin is toggleable, can you find out which option is causing this? I've left the game running for couple of minutes, it went from 400MB to 325MB. And I don't do any memory allocation in the code, so not sure what's going on.
I won't be able to use my gaming PC to test again until tomorrow evening, but I'm pretty sure I only enabled doorskip, disable noise and disable color correction. Also, I think if you just stand still it doesn't do anything, ram starts to fill fast when you open doors, open status menu, fight enemies, etc. I didn't noticed it when my PC first crashed, but when I played again, with MSI + rivatuner, I noticed when it was already at 15gb usage, only for it to crash again a min after. then I removed the mod and it was stable as it should, then added mod again, and noticed ram filling very fast at the first minutes of gameplay.
Try to find out which exact option is causing that for you.
So I did some tests today, and the bug seems to happen at random. I'm also using reshade, and with both (fusion fix +reshade), the bug seems to happen like 90% of the time, but I could reproduce it without using reshade as well(less likely to trigger it). So, in short: -it's not linked to any option(any effect enabled can cause it) -RAM usage is not shown in task manager for some reason, it only stays at around 300-400mb there, only %usage increase there (but it's shown on MSI afterburner) -very high chance to trigger it when using with reshade, the oposite when not using reshade
-it's not linked to any option(any effect enabled can cause it)
Doesn't make a lot of sense, each option does completely different thing, there's nothing in common.
-RAM usage is not shown in task manager for some reason, it only stays at around 300-400mb there, only %usage increase there (but it's shown on MSI afterburner)
Doesn't make much sense either, why would task manager not show the actual used/leaked amount.
-very high chance to trigger it when using with reshade, the oposite when not using reshade
Trigger how? I tried to follow the steps you provided, everything is normal.
In any event, if the game crashes for you, provide a crash dump, then there will be something to work with.
1- Yep, it's not linked to any, I did a test with each individual ones I use (doorskip, disable noise and disable color correction), and was able to reproduce with each of them separately.
2- the task manager will show how much % is used, it doesn't show the game is using it, or any other task for that matter (doesn't make sense to me as well)
3- trigger just by playing the game, opening doors, fighting enemies, open status menu, etc. I'm on the very first save typewriter on the train, I just load that and start running around, and the ram leak will either start right away or not at all.
The game doesnt crash, PC will crash when it gets to 16gb usage(which is what I have installed), also I noticed when the leak is happening, if you alt-tab, or try to exit the game, it'll just freeze for some seconds until the ram usage goes down to where it should be, but if you go back to game after alt-tab, the leak will happen again, I'll try to make a video with the leak happening later today. Also, I'm using fusion fix with RE1 remaster and it works perfectly fine there, no leaks or anything, with or without reshade
I just played through the first section, with all options enabled, none of this is happening to me.
There seems to be a bug with 'Resident Evil 0 Fusion Fix' where RAM keeps increasing until the PC crashes, noticed it with MSI afterburner, I have 16gb ram on my PC and it reaches that with 15 or so mins of gameplay, when I remove the mod, RAM keeps at 4 - 5gb usage
