[GTA1] Screwed up menu and crash on exit #22

The menu is just tiny rectangle in top left corner which isn't really ideal. It'd be ideal to make the fix work only ingame. Also the game crashes on exit when using your fix. Sometimes you need to use task manager and kill the process. BTW the fixed London 69/61 works with your fix too so good job.

Just a heads up it works with Steam version as well so you can add Works with Steam version button :) London 69/61 works with Steam version too as does the WS fix so you can note that too.

Well I got both GTA1/2 from GMG just now :) Obviously you can't link to Steam store so leave it linkless :D And same issues persist!

Btw, those versions any different than the ones which were on classics page? If so, can you upload the files somewhere and pm me?

I dunno if they are different, but I could've sworn that GTA1 from that page never worked on W8 so maybe I'm just misremembering things :/

Are they just working? With all audio and those crash fixes not needed?

Well I got some mission crashes in London 69. I've yet to try GTA1 so I'll report back.

I meant PLAYER_A.DAT related crash at startup. Is there a place I can download those? The best option would be to put a download link to the page along with fixes.

Oh I know what you mean. None so far. There is a GTAfixer that should take care of those issues. BTW this is in the README.txt

This version of GTA is modified from its original version to enable support for modern PC's and current Microsoft Windows(R) platforms. However, we unfortunately cannot guarantee that GTA will work correctly on your PC. Installation and execution of this software is entirely at your own risk.

I don't remember where I've got my files, but those were some disc rips, london even required to have a cd to play audio.

Yeah the London files I use are based on the updated R* version. All I needed to do was copy UKEDATA to root folder and London 69.exe/London61.exe to WINO and everything just works.

Menu is fine with original exe, crash on exit suddendly no longer appears for me, so I guess it's not plugin's fault :)
