(NFS:PS) Small suggestions... #536

I gotta say that I'm extremely impressed with the work the moderators have put into the nfs games, And really happy that I can experience those classics fully enhanced with all of those mods, But I have couple of suggestions towards pro street, Maybe some moderator will be able to fix these...

It seems like the game is set to freeze itself when you minimize it, I hope that it won't be hard to fix because it's extremely bugging and annoying sometimes... This fix will save lots of headache to the people who keep playing this game online because it is sure annoying to get disconnected just because someone sent you a discord message and you wanted to check out who's that

I think it was to maximize the performance in the past, I don't know if it's something that is able to fix or not... But I'd be extremely glad if someone will check it out :)

Those are just small things I think should be checked out and tweaked, thanks alot and please do not push yourself to fix it! Me and my server will be able to live without those fixes too lol, thanks!

Still nothing over here? I don't have Pro Street but it sounds reasonable.

So for the second problem, I guess it's not sth. ThirteenAG and the others here want/can fiddle with; maybe you can ask the creator/latest developer of TexMod for it. For the first one, maybe there's sth. they can do? I remember having that problem with GTA SA and NFS Carbon, too, that it freezes/crashes on Alt+Tab occasionally. Not sure what fixed it for me, but I don't recall having that the last time I played.

But maybe some more info would help: Is the problem happening only with the WidescreenFix or vanilla, too? I suspect the latter. On which OS are you running that game?

(PS: I didn't research that issue now, just wanted to reply now, after having that page open on the phone pretty much since it was created^^)

I would love to look at the second problem, but I don't know how to get multiplayer working so I can actually test it. The first problem sounds like something ThirteenAG could fix.

@Aeroscreen: Sry for the wild guess, but I don't remember you guys doing texture replacements like that (besides the controller icons on eg. NFS).^^

My understanding was that the game lowers the quality of custom vinyls/decals/liveries when in a multiplayer race. If this is true then no textures would need to be changed.

LAN alt tab issue was fixed.

As for car vinyls, that is news to me.

I'll do some digging. Shouldn't be too hard to fix.
