NFSC invisible cars bug!

This isnt related to this mod but dont know anywhere else to bring it up :( At first i thought this was caused by the mod extra options but turns out not to be the case.

Iv noticed some cars will bug out and look like there sunk into the ground a little and are missing some textures, then at a distance from you they only show wheels. sometimes i boot up game and i play 2 races fine but 3rd the bug starts, other times i restart game and get bug right away. Also sometimes my game now crashes while loading a race.

I clean installed the game, no mods at all, not even the widescreen mod, started fresh clean save to make sure it wasnt a save corruption and yet same bug happens, so next step was to make sure my os has no issues so i clean installed it (win 10 pro), latest drivers, even tried an old nvidia driver and what not but again same issue occurs, tried on ssd and hdd no difference.

Done all usual tweaks, run as win xp sp3 etc (tried others), run as admin...no luck with anything. Even tested mw and ug2 and they seem to be perfect so its just carbon having an issue.

I dont know if anyone else has been getting this issue as im thinking it must be a windows 10 issue.

Sometimes its my car that gets the bug too, its so random, iv racked my brains on this for 2 wholes days now

Go to the graphical options of the game and put everything to " High ", it should be fixed, it's a common issue.

I can't say I've ever experienced this problem with a vanilla install. With mods? Sure, but never vanilla. Have you tried Unlimiter? I use it for all of my NFS installations to expand the memory pools. Makes it more stable, less glitches, especially when using mods. It's worth a try. NFSC Unlimiter Enable ExpandMemoryPools in config file. Enable MissingPartsFix in config file.

@Scar557, yeah i messed with the settings but no luck

@AeroWidescreen yeah i tried that mod but didnt make a difference to this bug, it was somethng i thought about and hoped would fix it :(

I even installed directplay in case it was that, after multiple tests its looking like windows 10 goofed again This game used to work perfect for me as you said iv never had issues with vanilla game but seems to be happening now

Are you using any kind of compatibility modes for Windows ?

I did say i tried all those, never needed to use it before but yeah tried all them, tried disabling full screen optimisations

What i mean is that you shouldn't, these usually cause trouble.

Other than that, i don't know what's happening.

Next time i need to reinstall my os i'll use my original bought disk version from 2015 cause atm im thinking it must be the latest windows 10 20H2, i'll just close the topic, i think and wait and see what happens in future

For the record, I'm using version 20H2 as well and it's been mostly fine for me. There's a slim chance that this problem always existed and you only noticed it until now. I mean, I don't spend a lot of time playing Carbon, since it's not my favorite NFS, so I wouldn't be surprised if I overlooked it too.

Keep me updated if anything changes.

Hmm, im still going to lean towards windows issue...for now (at least for my pc), yeah its possible the issue has always been there, its not my fav either, usually i just dip into it to test mods etc, recently yours with the much better hd vinyls

Iv two versions of this game i tested, one is my bought disk version "collectors edition", other is, lets say "special" version 🙃

Well i have this page bookmarked so if i find solution (doubtful though) i'll post my findings here :)
