Hey @CMDR-Sloma, why would changing client ID improve the issue you are describing? Sounds like a network or system issue to me...
Anyhow, to answer your question, please check:
Well, then I am at a loss. I have few clients and every single one works fine with Mosquitto. However one of the RPi Zeros which run MiFlora gets constant socket errors. Both RPis have identical MiFlora config. Only one of them works the other one gets dropped after 5-6 seconds each time it logs in. Originally, I asked on HA forums because to me Mosquitto is quite 'cryptic' when it comes to finding why I get socket errors in the first place. Because I use the same user & password for both MiFlora nodes suggestion was one client gets dropped because Mosquitto doesn't like having two clients with the same ID. Whether that's the case I am not sure.
Anyway... Thank you, I will give it a try and see if this solves the issue.
OK, that's definitely not it... However, now I know it is something with MiFlora config and not the connection issue:
This node has exactly the same config as other Pi and yet this one throws out the above error and runs an endless restart loop.
Here is a sensor config section from both Pis side by side:
Hello,
I am using two nodes on Pi Zeros, but one of the nodes gets constant disconnections (socket errors) in Mosquitto / Home Assistant. Is there a way to change Client ID in the node, so I can keep using both nodes?
