Automatic wired network selection #40

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.This is actually about a feature request.

As someone who uses Linux mostly i'm used to completely automatic network
configuration tools like guessnet or whereami. Such programs are usually
attached to the "network cable plugged" event using
ifolugd/netplugd/hal/etc and are able chose automatically the suitable
settings using predefined tests for each profile: IP and/or MAC address
presence/absence/specific combination, PPPOE service presence/name, dhcp
server presence/settings, user scripts and so on. Thanks to them in Linux
after i set network once everything i have to do next time is to plug the
cable in - it is instantly recognized and configured

Unfortunately until now i have never encountered network settings manager
for Windows, capable of such tests. Adding feature like this to
netprofiles can make it even greater program.
