NetProfiles 2.1.7 crashes on Windows Vista Ultimate 64-Bit with SP2

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Installed NetProfiles 2.1.7 on Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit with SP2 
(newly installed Vista)
2. Launch NetProfiles
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

NetProfiles should run correctly.  The error appears as a pop-up when 
NetProfiles is run (even when Run as Administrator):

"NetProfiles has stopped working. Windows is searching for a solution to 
the problem" 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

NetProfiles 2.1.7 on Windows Vista Ultimate 64-Bit with SP2

In what language is your operating system?

English

Hi,

Considering this issue has been tagged as duplicate and needs to be verified, 
I'd 
like to add that I installed the latest stable NetProfiles on a different 
machine 
running on Vista Business 64-Bit with SP2 and had the same crash error when 
run. So 
I believe it is not the machine nor the Vista family of products (e.g. Home, 
Business, Ultimate)

I'm not sure if it is the 64-Bit achitecture that is causing the problem or the 
newly released SP2 .. or both.  I have no way right now to test on 64-Bit SP1 
because my media is already on SP2 when it arrived. Vista 32-Bit with SP1 works 
just 
fine.

To clarify the issue, I have a question for those involved in the development 
of 
this great piece of open-source software: Does NetProfiles work on 64-bit Vista 
(ultimate)?  I mean is it compatible?
