Issue with "ic" in Mega, Giga #17

Closed clayzermk1 closed 4 years ago

What happend?

While trialing Lexend Deca, Mega, and Giga, I noticed that Mega and Giga had unexpected renderings of "ic" in the word "difficult". The screenshot below is from GDocs using Google Fonts' Lexend fonts and size 14 text.

Words with pairs of "f" followed by "ic" seem to trigger the issue. For example "difficult" and "traffic", but not "ice" or "terrific". Similarly, "fic" and "fffic" do not trigger the issue, but "ffic" and "ffffic" do.

What did you expect to happen?

I expected the same kerning between "i" and "c" as there is with the other letters in Lexend Mega and Giga.

Anything else?

I did not try Lexend fonts stretched wider than Giga. I apologize if this is not the correct place to report this issue.

Hi Clay, thanks for posting this issue. It appears to be an issue with the side bearings on the /ffi glyph. On the next update on GF, we'll patch this bug :-)
