Hi there @utopianknight Lexend is designed to correct these kind of visual masking/ crowding errors with expansion in spacing both inside and between letterforms. Like eye glasses, no one setting is best for everyone. It appears you are part of the population that requires more spacing in your type to prevent visual masking/ crowding.
If you are mistaking a letter in reading regularly, use one of the more intense settings of Lexend. If you're on Deca, try Lexend Exa. If you still have issues with Exa, move up to Giga. Keep going until the errors stop and it feels comfortable to read the text.
If you're using the VF edition of Lexend, you'll be able to find a even more fine grain optimized fit for you using the LXND axis property.
I have noticed that I misread words with the lowercase letter "t" very often.
Perhaps put the curvy tail at the bottom of "t"?
