4 days ago I am currently experimenting with/developing an additional report generator, this might be a solution, but I need to check if I can come up with replacements for all the used stuff inside the original generator.
My current Idea is to create an asciidoctor intermediate project instead of creating directly a pdf, which then can be build in whatever one needs. This also enables the possibility to theme the whole thing. or export the report as html page.
The resulting pdf does have a lot of useful links, that allow the reader to move about the document. However a table of content, where the individual chapters are accessible from the sidebar of many pdf readers is missing. The PDF generation seems very custom, so a way to implement this did not seem apparent.
