Create a separate GrantNav only for government grants?
Amend or addition to this is it should be GrantNav with Gov + other grants, not just Govt grants - as cross-sector view is important.
Thanks for this
central government grants can be awarded not to the charity sector and big, which can skew results in an analysis of data.
That's true, but not across the whole dataset. That might also be true of other publishers, too?
Across the whole 360 publisher set, there might well be grant records that don't quite fit (research grants to scientists - to give a random example?) , so my concern is if the focus is just on central government grants, we might encounter a similar issue at a later date?
However, I appreciate the upcoming and immediate need/pressure - so dont read my comment as a way to diffuse it!
@morchickit @KDuerden @stevieflow we've been talking a lot about categorising funders - but @stevieflow 's example is actually highlighting that there may (also?) be an issue with how a recipient is categorised. Do we need to look into that?

I think this is a good point. I see this as a sign-posting / 'helping users to understand what they're seeing in the data' issue, so that can definitely work at the level of a funder or a recipient. I understand the categories for funders is working along lines funding org identifier prefix type where that is possible (with some curation for the lottery funders).
I can see a value in exploring whether 'search by recipient organisation type' based on org ID prefix is a useful filter to include in GN 2.0
As discussed in #441 , central government grants can be awarded not to the charity sector and big, which can skew results in an analysis of data. In order to help and create a better user experience and help people understand the search results, we need to give users tools to deal with it. Ways of dealing with this -
