What is the status of Classifications Theme and 'classification' #3

In DraftOntology0.1 I found "Theme" as an Object Property of Classification, with no Range and Domain set. Whereas the description of Classification says "One of: gazeteerEntry, organisationType, fundingType, grantProgramme, classifications" I guess the 'classification' case is handled by the top level association with Classification. What are your thoughts on Theme? Should it have Domain and Range defined?

If we need it for a particular sort of classification then yes - we could define a range and domain for it.

It was a field idea that came up from some of the use cases, but I didn't have an specific cases of data where it was being used, so had left it un-attached - and as a result I think it won't show in the flat version of the standard anywhere right now.

In general, I think we would usually define a subProperty of classification when we have a specific shared code list that we're pointing to (i.e. shared across multiple publishers of data), and at other times we would just use 'classification'.

OK so it's not a mistake that it doesn't show, but it's still WIP for the moment? That's cool, thanks.

Correct. I've just pushed tweaked version of the ontology to https://github.com/ThreeSixtyGiving/prototype-tools

Will look at an approach to better manage versioning and development of it soon - but feel free to tweak a copy and push any changes if you think things that need to be adapted based on your engagement with real data.

Sure. I'm not yet confident enough about the model to make changes but if anything comes up from the work that suggests changes, I'll probably make a pull request so we can discuss it.
