I'd be tempted to hold off on this for the time being - as we're already hitting some issues with getting Google Docs published sheets to play nicely with the DKAN and APIs... and need to think about best guidance for people on publishing in Google Docs.

Sure thing. Although are there benefits of using Google Docs even if its still required to save content to a CSV?
DKAN is not going to be an issue on this any longer, so flagging as something to do be done.
@bjwebb could a gdoc version of the templates/files be generated from the standard repo - rather than a manual effort?
Let's look at this as part of revised documentation - potentially doing this as part of a scripted process of compiling the docs?
We are going to work on templates this quarter hopefully, so I am keeping this issue for reference.
