More obvious indicator when you should click on the map (ie, strong outline on the province or on the rondel slice)
Maybe put control panel buttons where the helper text of the rondel is (ie, make the buttons disappear when the rondel helper text is visible)

Not a big fan of the other recommendations in here so I'll close this for now.
