Backport Release for v0.12.4 #107

@ThummeTo can we get a backport release for this v0.12.4? (I am running a test locally, I will reply to this comment post that. Can you release post it? Thanks in advance :)

Had the same thought :-D Tests are running (I opened a dedicated branch for that, see #108)
