@Beamy68 I too convert files to ALAC for Apple Music. Though I would love to see it in this app, in the meantime you can use https://foobar2000.org. Install the version from their website (not the Microsoft Store version), then the encoder pack: https://www.foobar2000.org/encoderpack, and then you can drag some files into the playlist window, right click to convert, set the output to alac and select a folder. It's not perfect, but better than using an online encoder service, and in this case you can be sure of the actual encoder being used
+1, Same need here to convert FLAC files to ALAC (Apple Lossless) files. foobar2000 is ok, but a little overkill to just do a conversion.
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. iTunes and Apple Music have no ALAC support and so I have to manually convert FLAC files to ALAC files every time
Describe the solution you'd like Add support for ALAC output
Describe alternatives you've considered Using online file converter services (inconvenient and slow)
Additional context I want to be able to add lossless audio albums to my Apple Music library, but require ALAC for that because Apple is slow and refuses to support FLAC
